What a Dental Implant Actually Costs in Bangalore (2026 Price Breakdown)

Implant pricing in Bangalore is quoted in a way that makes comparison almost impossible. One clinic advertises ₹18,000, another ₹60,000, and both are technically describing the same procedure. The difference is usually what has been left out of the first number.
This is what an implant costs at our BTM Layout and JP Nagar clinics, and what changes that figure. It ends with the four questions that make any two quotes comparable. That part is the most useful if you are shopping around.
The short answer: A single dental implant at Dentick costs between ₹35,000 and ₹45,000 per tooth including the crown. The main variable is the implant system used. Bone grafting, sinus lift or an immediate temporary tooth are additional and are quoted only after a 3D scan.
₹35,000 – ₹45,000 per tooth, including the crown
Our range is ₹35,000 to ₹45,000 for a single implant including the abutment and the crown that sits on top. That is the finished tooth, not a component of it.
This matters because an implant is three separate parts. There is the titanium fixture placed in the bone. Then the abutment that connects to it, and the crown you actually chew with. A quote of ₹18,000 is very often the fixture alone. The abutment and crown are billed later, and the crown is rarely the cheap part. When you compare quotes, the only question worth asking is: is this the price of the tooth, finished and in my mouth? Ours is.
The implant system used changes the figure
The largest single variable is which implant system is used. There is a genuine spread between value-tier implants and the established international systems: Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Osstem, Dio. The difference is not marketing.
You are paying for the volume of long-term clinical data behind the surface design. You are also paying for the certainty that components will still be made in fifteen years. Suppose a crown needs replacing in 2041. If that system has since left the market, the entire fixture may have to be replaced surgically. We show you exactly which system your quote is based on, and price the alternatives side by side. It is a legitimate decision to make either way.
A 3D scan confirms it before you commit
Nobody can quote an implant honestly from looking in your mouth. The decision rests on how much bone you have, its density, and where the nerve and sinus sit. None of that is visible without a 3D CBCT scan.
The scan tells us whether a standard implant is possible. It also shows whether you need a bone graft or sinus lift first, and what the total will be. It also removes the worst outcome in implant dentistry. That is a price agreed in principle, surgery started, and a graft discovered halfway through. Once we have the scan, the number we give you is the number, in writing, before anything begins.
EMI available on larger treatments
Implants are the treatment where cost most often decides timing rather than whether. EMI is available on larger treatment plans. For a full-arch or multiple-implant case, ask about it at the planning stage rather than at the end.
There is also a sequencing option people rarely know exists. If you need several implants, they do not all have to be placed at once. Where it is clinically sensible we can stage treatment over months, which spreads cost without compromising the result. What is not worth doing is delaying the first implant for years. The bone ridge keeps resorbing after a tooth is lost. A graft that was unnecessary in year one is often unavoidable by year four.
Written costs before treatment begins
You receive the full cost in writing before treatment starts. It is itemised: fixture, abutment, crown, and any graft or scan separately. Not a range, not an estimate that moves.
Something unforeseen appearing mid-treatment is rare after a CBCT scan. If it does, we stop and discuss it with you rather than adding it to the bill. We would rather lose a case at the quoting stage than have somebody discover a number they did not agree to. That policy is why our price list is published on this website in full. It is still unusual for dental practices in Bangalore.

Frequently asked questions
Why are some dental implants in Bangalore advertised at ₹15,000–₹20,000?
Almost always because the crown and abutment are excluded, or because a value-tier implant system is being used, or both. Neither is dishonest in itself — but the advertised figure is not what you will pay for a finished tooth. Ask for the total cost of the completed tooth including the crown, and compare that number instead.
How long does a dental implant last?
The fixture itself is designed to be permanent and large studies report survival above 90% at ten years. The crown on top is a wearing part and may need replacing after ten to fifteen years. The single biggest factor in implant failure is not the brand — it is cleaning and smoking. An implant needs the same daily care as a natural tooth.
Is a dental implant painful?
The placement is done under local anaesthetic. Most patients describe it as less uncomfortable than the extraction that preceded it. Expect some swelling and soreness for two to three days afterwards, managed with ordinary painkillers. The longer part is healing, not pain. The implant needs three to six months to integrate with bone before the crown goes on.
Does dental insurance in India cover implants?
Rarely. Most Indian health policies exclude dental treatment unless it follows an accident, and implants are usually classified as elective. Some corporate group policies include a limited dental benefit — worth checking your specific policy wording. We provide fully itemised invoices for any claim you do wish to submit.
Can I get an implant immediately after a tooth is removed?
Sometimes — immediate placement into a fresh socket is possible where there is no infection and enough surrounding bone, and it saves months. It is not suitable for every case, and forcing it where conditions are poor risks failure. The CBCT scan taken before extraction is what tells us whether it is an option for you.
What is the cheapest dental implant option at Dentick?
A regular implant system starts at ₹35,000 per tooth including the crown. That is the finished tooth, not a component of it. We do not stock the very cheapest implants on the market. A system with thin long-term data and uncertain component supply is a real problem later. It matters when a crown needs replacing in fifteen years. If budget is the constraint, the better conversation is about staging implants over time or using EMI. It is not about dropping to a lower-tier fixture.
Do I need a bone graft, and what does it add to the cost?
Only the CBCT scan can answer that. Grafting is more likely if the tooth has been missing for years, or if it was lost to gum disease. It is also more likely in the upper back jaw, where the sinus sits low. Where it is needed, it adds cost and three to six months to the timeline. Both appear in the written plan before anything begins. A graft becomes more likely the longer a gap is left. Deferring an implant therefore tends to make it more expensive, not less.
Is a CBCT scan necessary and what does it cost?
We will not quote or place an implant without one. A flat OPG X-ray cannot show bone width, density, or exactly where the nerve canal and sinus sit. Planning from one means discovering problems during surgery rather than before it. The scan takes under a minute, and it is what makes the quote you receive reliable. The cost appears separately on the published price list rather than being folded invisibly into the implant price.
How much does a full mouth of implants cost?
It depends entirely on the approach, and the range is wide. A full arch does not need one implant per tooth. Four to six implants can support a fixed bridge for a whole jaw. That costs far less than replacing every tooth individually. An implant-supported overdenture uses two to four implants to anchor a removable denture. It costs less again, and is far more stable than a conventional denture. These need planning against a scan rather than a price list. Book an assessment and we will cost the realistic options side by side.
Are imported implant systems worth the extra cost?
Sometimes, and we will explain the difference rather than push it. The premium buys a larger body of long-term clinical data behind the surface design. It also buys confidence that components will still be made in twenty years. That matters when a crown needs replacing. For a straightforward single implant in good bone, a regular system performs very well. For complex cases, immediate loading, or grafted sites, the established systems have more evidence behind them.
Can I pay for dental implants in instalments?
Yes, EMI is available on larger treatment plans, and implants are one of the treatments where it makes most sense. Raise it at the planning consultation rather than at the end — it is easier to structure before treatment begins. Sequencing is a separate option worth knowing about. If you need several implants, they do not all have to be placed at once. Staging them over months spreads the cost without compromising the result.
Which implant brands do you use?
We work with established international systems including Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Osstem and Dio, alongside regular-tier systems. You are told exactly which system your quote is based on, rather than being quoted for “an implant”. The alternatives are priced side by side, so the choice is yours. If a clinic will not tell you which system they are placing, press the question. It determines what happens if a component needs replacing years later.
If you are collecting quotes, bring them in. We will go through what each quote includes and tell you honestly how ours compares. That includes saying so if somebody else has quoted you something reasonable. A consultation and treatment plan starts at ₹300.
